Asphaltene precipitation modeling in dead crude oils using scaling equations and non-scaling models: comparative study

چکیده

Abstract This research study aims to conduct a comparative performance analysis of different scaling equations and non-scaling models used for modeling asphaltene precipitation. The experimental data carry out this are taken from the published literature. Five which include Rassamadana et al., Rassamdana Sahimi, Hu Gou, Ashoori log–log were applied in two ways, i.e., on full dataset partial datasets. Partial datasets developed by splitting terms Dilution ratio ( R ) between oil precipitant. Asphaltene Precipitation in Crude Oils: Theory and Experiments

The precipitation of asphaltenes in two Mexican crude oils was measured using a combination of high-pressure isothermal expansion and atmospheric titration with nalkanes. Experiments were carried out from the liveand tank-oil type of samples of the same crude oils. For the oils investigated, compositional data, precipitation phase diagrams, and bubble point pressures are reported. A theoretical...

Asphaltene nanoparticle aggregation in mixtures of incompatible crude oils.

We study the structure and phase behavior of asphaltenes comprised of large polyaromatic molecules in blends of naturally occurring crude oils using small angle neutron scattering (SANS). When two compatible oils are blended together, the asphaltenes remain dispersed as colloidal nanoparticles; however, when two incompatible oils are blended together, these asphaltene nanoparticles can aggregat...

Measurement and corresponding states modeling of asphaltene precipitation in Jilin reservoir oils

The asphaltene precipitation of two reservoir oil samples collected from Jinlin oil field has been studied under pressure and with/without CO2-injection conditions. No asphaltene precipitation was detected during the pressure depletion processes without CO2 injection. For the CO2-injected oil systems, the effects of operating pressure, injected CO2 concentration, and multiple-contact on the ons...

Modeling Asphaltene Precipitation by n-Alkanes from Heavy Oils and Bitumens Using Cubic-Plus-Association Equation of State

We apply a cubic-plus-association equation of state to study the asphaltene precipitation from n-alkane diluted model solutions (asphalteneþtoluene), and heavy oils and bitumens. Heavy oils and bitumens are characterized in terms of saturates, aromatics/resins, and asphaltenes; n-alkanes are treated independently. The asphaltene precipitation is modeled as liquid-liquid phase equilibrium. The s...
